Ian Weiss is a Wealth Manager with IHT Wealth Management.  Our promise is to provide support and guidance to ensure your financial objectives are met.  During the past 25 years he has supported families and institutions achieve their goals.  As a registered representative his interest lies in helping people and not simply ‘selling’ investment products.

At Merrill Lynch Mr. Weiss focused on offering a comprehensive approach to managing wealth that began with listening to a client’s needs and developing solutions. Providing access to the investment insights from the firm assisted meeting clients’ financial goals.

Previously he was a Vice President and Portfolio Manager for the asset management division of Reliance Trust. Ian joined Reliance Trust in 2014. His primary role was to provide asset allocation, investment management and due diligence solutions within the institutional corporate partnership program. His expertise was pivotal to establishing and maintaining high net worth fiduciary relationships.

Prior to joining Reliance Trust, Ian served as an investment officer at UBS Trust Company, NA, responsible for portfolio management, performance evaluation, investment committee member, regulatory compliance, alternative investment analysis, and structuring comprehensive solutions for clients. Ian also worked with a prominent Boston Family for close to seven years, prior to UBS, serving as the Senior Financial Analyst and developing a robust alternative assets program.

From 1997 to 2007, he was employed at SEI Investments in many different capacities. As a registered representative he supported institutional relationships for defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans and the foundation/endowment market.

Mr. Weiss holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.  He holds the designation of a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor from The ABA Institute of Certified Bankers.  Also, he enjoys educating & mentoring students through his participation in such programs as Michigan State University’s Wisdom Project, UBS Education Initiative and Conestoga High School Senior Internship Program.  Ian is married to Sara Stanley and they have two boys.
