Thomas Yi
Thomas Yi has thirty-three years of experience in portfolio management, trading, research and risk management in the global financial markets. He is an investment advisor at IHT Wealth Management.
Thomas began his career in the world of finance as a Foreign Exchange Trader for Credit Suisse in New York City. He moved on to become Senior Trader for Bank of America and UBS, Head of Spot Trading at ABN AMRO Bank (RBS Bank), and he started a proprietary global macro trading desk at Societe Generale Bank in NYC.
He also worked extensively in the global macro hedge fund world, where he served as the Chief Investment Officer at YCM Management. And he was a Portfolio Manager for various multi-billion dollar macro funds in NYC and in South Florida serving institution clients and pension funds.Most recently, Thomas worked as Global Chief Strategist and Portfolio Manager for a large family office in NYC overseeing their foreign exchange portfolio, concentrating in option strategies.After spending three decades managing institutional money, he joined IHT Wealth Management in 2020 to serve individual clients. With his valuable experience, he strives to helps clients build and protect their wealth in an ever-changing world.He has a BA in Economics from Dickinson College.
